Turning Intention into Action JAZ Hotel Group Marks World Cleanup Day Madinat Makadi, Hurghada, Sharm El Sheikh, Dahab, Taba, Marsa Alam & North Coast

September 2025

JAZ Hotel Group proudly joined the global movement for World Cleanup Day, hosting two impactful clean-up events on the 15th and 20th of September. These initiatives reflect our unwavering commitment to sustainability and protecting Egypt’s unique natural environments.

In Makadi Bay, over 100 volunteers came together to safeguard the fragile desert ecosystem. Collectively, they removed nearly 2 tons of waste, with 40% sorted for recycling. This event also marked the official launch of the Maaza Colorful Cultures Project, beginning with the Makadi Clean-Up Campaign. More than a waste collection, this milestone laid the foundation for sustainable operations and biodiversity conservation, while honoring the cultural and natural heritage of the Maaza tribes.

At the rest of the destinations, our teams and volunteers extended the effort to the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea. Diving and shoreline activities cleared hundreds of meters of sea and beaches, removing significant amounts of plastic debris that threaten marine life and coral reefs. These clean-up days highlight JAZ Hotel Group’s dedication to its JAZ Gives Back initiative, embedding sustainability into every step of hospitality — from operations to guest experiences, and from land to sea.
