Underwater & Beach Cleanup Through Community and Youth Engagement
18th and 19th of May, 2025 – Sharm ElSheikh, Egypt
As a leading hospitality brand rooted in Egypt’s natural and cultural landscapes, JAZ Hotel
Group continues to take bold strides toward sustainability. This May, we were proud to take part
in a two-day environmental initiative in Sharm El Sheikh, bringing together the power of
education, community, and collaboration for a greener future with Green Sharm.
Empowering Youth, Inspiring Action
In partnership with students from the British School in Sharm El Sheikh, King Salman International University, local NGOs, environmental advocates, and creative sustainability groups, JAZ Hotel Group helped shape an unforgettable learning journey to inspire climate-conscious action.
Day One: Learning in Motion
On Sunday, May 18, the focus was on education and engagement. Participants joined a cultural eco-tour designed to connect theory with practice and the community with purpose.
Key moments included:
- Open discussions around waste reduction, sustainable transport, and the “Sharm ElSheikh Green City” initiative.
- A meaningful visit to Gharqana Village, where attendees met with residents, explored a newly formed local NGO, and gained insight into grassroots sustainability efforts.
- A vibrant close to the day with community-led storytelling, cultural exchange, and locally sourced food tastings.
